News from the Richard C. Adkerson School of Accountancy

Greetings from the Director

It is my pleasure to share with you the summer issue of the Bulldog Ledger. This edition provides stories and highlights that demonstrate why the Adkerson School of Accountancy is a destination of choice for students who desire quality accounting programs.

The School was highly successful at placing students in internships and full-time positions in the spring and summer. Although there are other indicators of success, placement of students is key to a successful accounting program. This is a metric that I happily share with prospective students and their parents. From all indications, this trend will continue in the upcoming recruitment season.

On another positive note, current enrollment data indicate an 8% increase in undergraduate accounting enrollment for the fall semester. This will be the highest undergraduate enrollment since fall 2020. Although some of the increase may be attributed to national trends in accounting enrollment, I believe the School’s various recruiting initiatives are driving most of it.

You can easily keep up with what is going on in the School by visiting our website and through Facebook, LinkedIn, X and Instagram. Please help us get the word out about the great things happening in the School by sharing this issue of the Bulldog Ledger with your business associates and friends.

On behalf of the faculty, staff and students, thank you for your continued support. Together, we can ensure that the Adkerson School of Accountancy continues to deliver on its mission to prepare students for successful careers in accounting.

Hail State!
