News from the Richard C. Adkerson School of Accountancy

Agents of ASAC

Across the board, Mississippi State’s accounting students reflect well on the University and on the Adkerson School of Accountancy. Each year, several are selected as formal representatives of the School and its student body.

Accounting Ambassadors serve as outward delegates, meeting with high school students and their parents as well as potential transfers. They provide tours and share information about the School and the University and participate in orientation, registration and on- and off-campus recruiting events. They are also ASAC’s main student interface with alumni, assisting with Advisory Council meetings and taking part in other School events.

The Director’s Student Advisory Council members are internally focused, speaking for their peers to administrators.  These graduate and undergraduate students meet with ASAC Director Dr. Shawn Mauldin throughout the year, sharing their experiences and offering a student perspective.

As always, this year’s Ambassadors and Student Council members were chosen for academic excellence and their enthusiasm for MSU and the field of accounting.
